A lot of folks are pondering several “what-if” scenarios for the 2008 election. One of the discussions is over Al, and if he did run, who’d his running mate might be. How interesting it would be if he teamed up with Hillary, and notch a reverse 1996 ticket, ie. Gore/Clinton. Other than Hillary, though, who do you think would be a nice compliment as VP with Gore?

That’s how many signatures Al collected before his hearing in front of Congress. Pretty amazing. Did you get a chance to sign it? If not, join in! It’s not too late. The link is below:

Al’s headed to the Senate and House today to push government action on the global warming issue. The last I heard, his petition had close to 500,000 signatures, which he plans to present during his visit as well.

A new global warming documentary (screened on Channel 4 in the UK) has popped up challenging a lot of the points Gore makes in his Oscar winning documentary - mainly the claim that CO2 is responsible for rising temperatures. The main scientists in the piece to agree that temperatures are rising, but that the trend is a natural occurrence, and not attributable to greenhouse gases.
An interesting watch though. To expose yourself to ‘both sides of the coin’ (so to speak), I’d recommend watching.
What do you think? Have you seen this new documentary?

Looks like PETA is asking Al to go Vegan. They’ve been emailing him letters alleging that the meat industry is the largest contributor to greenhouse gases, and if steps were taken to reduce the level of meat consumption in the U.S., the level of CO2 would - in comparison - drop.
Do you think Al should go Vegan? Would you go Vegan?

So, every now and then, we’ll get a few negative comments about ole Al. Being a proponent of free speech, we decided to give those who had valid point an opportunity to voice their opinions. No, we’re not going to let you respond in every post we have here, but if you read one that ‘gets your goat’, so to speak, feel free to jump into this ‘ I Don’t Agree’ post, reference the article, and let your opinion flow.
