I discovered and described natural submarine methane (CH4) escapes at northeastern Weddell Sea (Antarctica), where geological evidence suggests that methane is released to the atmosphere from shallow marine reservoirs of frozen gas hydrates, which are being impacted by the climate worming. A research project dealing to study these methane escapes was presented, but with no success, mainly due to the absence of budget and lack of logistic support. Thanks a lot for your valuable time.

Did you hear about bees dying? I’m a beekeeper, but amateur at that. But the condition known as catastrophic colony collapse is widely discussed amongst my bee comrades. It was all a bit of a mystery. It’s gradually becoming clearer. Did you ever hear of the company “Bayer”? Feel like taking them on? Go on - I dare you. They produce a chemical - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imidacloprid - gaucho. It’s in everything, especially nice neat well manicured gardens and golf courses. It’s in grubex. It’s in seed’n'weed bags. It kills bees. Without bees we can’t pollinate. Without pollination we don’t get fruit. As Einstein observed; when bees die, we have four years before we, too, die.

It takes guts and money to take on Bayer. I do my bit; I won’t buy their stuff.

You’re a powerful guy; how are you going to help?

I chose a new car that would be less harmful to our environment. Yesterday I bought a Camry, Hybrid. I am sorry I could not buy American, but Ford products are not up to my standards.
Al Gore’s wake-up call to America about global warming and how we are making terrible choices made a bit impression on me. Thank you Mr. Gore!!! for taking your time to enlighten the world.

With all of the push to do something re global warming, I was bewildered when I saw this story on Dallas CBS Channel 11. It dealt with a homeowner in Irving, TX who had spent $14,000 installing solar panels on his roof and now the homeowners association is attempting to make him remove them. The news item is a video clip dated June 20, 2007 @ 10:28 p.m. and can be found at http://cbs11tv.com/video/ then select video library and scroll til you find the June 20th date. I think this is horrendous!

    Al:

Please send me a picture of yourself - I want to show my children what a liar looks like.

How do you have any credibility?:

    1. “I am the inventor of the internet”.

    2. “Global Warming”.

    3. “I don’t smoke pot with my son”.

    4. “I gave a speech on poverty for $85,000.00″.

    5. You believe in taking care of the environment yet how many acres of trees did you clear cut to build your current mansion?

    Answer tow questions for me:

    1. Are you a member of any terriorist groups?

    2. Since you invented the internet, why do you not have a published email address?

    Thank you.

    Give me a break.

What a riot! Al Gore believes Green is more important than defeating terrorism, if all the effort (fund raising, etc…) would be directed to defeating global terrorism, it might become a safe world in which to live, then work on a Green Earth. Goes to prove how stupid the Dem’s are.

Al gore promises to spend 100 million dollar ad campaign to make global warming a voting issue in 2008

I have tried my best over the years to help the planet: not using pesticides. Tuning off lights, and not using a ton of electricity and gas. Using propane to for my grill, and growing the best darn weeds you ever saw. I’ve had a compost pile, I recycled. I also used the energy efficient light bulbs for years. Yes, they do last a long time. But they are expensive.

Due to a work related back injury; then subsequently being fired form my job because my work couldn’t accommodate my work related back injury. I no longer can afford to buy those expensive light bulbs.

During the, “Live Earth” concerts we were told that just changing out four regular light bulbs would help the environment.

Why don’t you give out coupons for free bulbs?

How about,” buy one get three free’? That will start people buying them.

    That will help the environment.

But that won’t put money into the pockets of the people who manufacture the energy efficient bulbs. At least not right away.

Money makes the world go round. Soon we will end up falling off the earth, due too greediness. When we complain, we the little guys get hit with the repercussions; we can’t, “Rock the Boat” for fear of being kicked out.

What about the bees? I didn’t hear a thing about them. Is that because the cell phone companies sponsored the event? I don’t know who did; but I find that odd.

I use to work for T-Mobile; I was a fired after ‘telling’ the EEOC what was going on in the Chicago switch. That ended my career.

I moved on to a Marketing Assistant, in Hampshire Illinois. That’s when my job was threatened if I didn’t do my job and the warehouse packer’s position.

That company had young teens, 12-15 working in the very hot warehouse during the summer. They added the money onto their parents pay checks. Stupid me, I complained.

When I got hurt they got rid of me fast. “Couldn’t accommodate my work injury.”

My boss, the CEO and the President of the company disappeared when I kept complaining. The banks came in then they found a lot more issues that nearly closed the company.

What I learned was don’t, “rock the boat” or the person holding your paycheck, your life will cut the strings.

Now I am waiting on Disability, due to that work related back injury. I feel like I am begging for help.

    Which I am!

But I would still stand up, with my cane, and “rock the boat.”

So, Hey! How about those,” buy one get three free’ efficient light bulbs. Think we’ll see anything like that soon? Doubt it, no profit in it…

I posted this a couple of days ago at this link:

A fundamental change in attitudes, political views and actions must occur. Not just with the general population (the little people) but with all of the people, including the wealthy.

All of our problems are interconnected and the end result is that the third rock from the sun will be lifeless and dead. If you don’t understand that simple statement, then to test the theory there is nothing wrong eat the fish out of your local river. No? My ancestors could but then again they didn’t have a jumbo SUV to throw their trash out of did they.

The oil is running out and everyone is scrambling to protect their piece of it, why not invest in a renewable source of power and avoid the conflict? Politics, religion, big business and carbon emissions are the biggest threats this planet has seen in 65 million years. All of these threats feed off of each other and in the process justify the means to our end

Left wingers, right wingers, middle of the road, commies, clerics and the innocent will all suffer the same. Will it happen as advertised, will it be a slow process or is it just part of the Earth’s natural cycle? Why take the chance, we only have one environment. Forget about the bees, frogs and every other endangered species on our assorted list the Green team keeps. The average person needs to look at his children and the children of others to read the impact.

Mr. Gore kudos on the effort, you might want to tone that office down a little bit. Go paperless and maybe use one giant monitor, though they are way more efficient than CRTs!

Yes it was a beautiful morning.

I often hear comments that the space program has damaged
the ozone layer and caused global warning. Is there any truth
to this. If so, what good is the space program, if we are
ultimately destroying the earth and there are no other
planets in space that we can inhabit.

come on people our ant-sisters made it without the blessing of electricity or other blessing we so happened to come across over the years living in this death ball called earth.
Even though everyones different believes may cause everyone to think differently, we really need to start living healthier and breath cleaner air -point blank

Mr. Gore, I was so impressed with your ability to “get the word out” about global warming. I was subsequently profoundly disappointed about the news that you have a huge mansion in Atlanta that uses a profound amount of energy!! I was astounded to hear that George Bushs ranch in Texas is a stellar example of energy efficiency. You have a lot of explaining to do!!
