Carbonfund.org - A Site We Should All Consider
Just wanted to briefly mention a site we suggest and promote..
Cabonfund.org basically allows individuals, or organizations, to eliminate their effect on the global climate by donating funds to offset their carbon footprint..
take a peek.. and spread the word!

To best fight global warming we need to elect a Democrat President. And, that Democrat should be elected with the widest support possible.
It is clear to me that the Democratic candidate most likely to win, possibly in a landslide, by attracting new voters, young voters, Independents, and disenchanted Republicans is Barack Obama. In turn, Obama will be most likely to bring about real change in America’s policies which impact climate change.
I respectfully, but urgently ask you, Senator Al Gore, to endorse Barack Obama as the Democrat’s nominee for President in 2008.
Please do not wait until after the February 5th. The time to act is now.
Sincerely,
George John

Hi. I have been trying to get an answer to this question. I keep getting ignored. Maybe you can help me or sent it to Mr. Gore and he can get it answered. My question is:
Here’s what Barack Obama has to say about global warming on his website:
We need to take steps to stop catastrophic, manmade climate change. If we do not act, the consequences will be devastating for future generations, especially for the poorest global populations.
So why did Obama introduce the “Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act of 2007,” a bill that would promote the use of coal, the dirtiest of all fossil fuels, as a transportation fuel and make global warming a lot worse?

Prince Charles Hologram Speaks At Energy Summit
Tue, 22 Jan 2008 09:35p.m
A 3D image of Prince Charles is to deliver a speech at an international energy summit in Abu Dhabi to try and reduce carbon emissions.
The five minute video was recorded about a month ago and will be beamed onto a film set to create a hologram of Charles, who will then hand the floor over to his
brother Prince Andrew who is attending the conference in person.
The hologram will save the 15 tonnes of carbon dioxide that would have been generated by Charles if he and his staff had flown to Abu-Dhabi.
The summit in the United Arab Emirates will focus on the nation’s attempt to create the world’s first zero-waste and zero-emission city at Masdar.

I have you a idea too, just what do we do with the ideas? I do not have a Solar Collector System to apply this idea to and you might find it more useful to get someone to build a add-on for you to test, so you need some free time to test this up in TN. I understand you may unplug the Power Company, think about going full satellite TV & Internet when you begin making your own power, super big dish worldwide. I could just imagine you being a skipper on a ‘Ocean Inspector’ or ‘Ocean Project’ (see vessels: http://www.oceaneering.com/). Really need a ship port to go into this further.

China battles “coldest winter in 100 years”
By John Ruwitch
Mon Feb 4, 12:09 PM ET
CHENZHOU, China (Reuters) - Millions remained stranded in China on Monday ahead of the biggest holiday of the year as parts of the country suffered their coldest winter in a century.
Freezing weather has killed scores of people and left travelers stranded before the Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival — the only opportunity many people have for a holiday all year.
It has also brought China unwanted negative publicity six months before the Summer Olympics in Beijing.
President Hu Jintao chaired an emergency Politburo meeting on Sunday for the second time in a week to discuss rescue efforts.
“We have to be clear-minded that the inclement weather and severe disaster will continue to plague certain regions in the south,” said a statement issued after Sunday’s meeting. “Relief work will continue to face challenges, posing a tough task.”
The China Meteorological Administration said the weather was the coldest in 100 years in central Hubei and Hunan provinces, going by the total number of consecutive days of average temperature less than 1 degree Celsius (33.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
But it expected brighter weather ahead, though fog could become a problem and temperatures at night would likely still be below freezing, slowing the thaw.
“It is still necessary to remain alert for possible low temperatures, frozen rain, snow, freezing and heavy fog,” said administration head Zheng Guoguang.
He added the cold snap had caught the country off guard, in an area unprepared for such heavy snow. But climate change could see more extremes in weather in China, Zheng warned.
Four people died after a snow-laden roof collapsed at a fuel station in the eastern city of Nanjing on Sunday, Xinhua news agency said. One person was killed in a stampede at Guangzhou railway station in the south as people rushed to board trains.
Roads and railways, some of which have been blocked for days, have started to move again, and fewer flights were being cancelled, state media said, offering a glimmer of hope.
The United States and Singapore pledged emergency aid of $150,000 and $500,000 respectively, Xinhua said, as several other countries sent condolence messages.
CAJOLED TO SKIP HOLIDAY
Authorities in the southern city of Guangzhou said their priority was to clear the backlog of travelers, having cajoled millions of migrant workers to stay put and skip the holiday.
Elsewhere, efforts turned to restoring power and water, which some cities, such as Chenzhou in the south, have been without for more than a week, causing some to question China’s ability to handle emergencies months before Beijing holds the Olympics.
“Without power the only information we have been getting is by SMS from the government,” said Chenzhou resident Zheng Ninghong, tending a fruit stall amid the slush.
“There was one, I think, that said it would get warmer, but what we need is electricity.”
China has largely avoided unrest throughout the crisis, in part due to the 519,000 soldiers and more than 1.6 million paramilitary police that have been deployed throughout the country to help with disaster relief and crowd control.
The government continued to lionize those working to restore normalcy, giving three policemen who died during the storms the title of “hero and model of all Chinese policemen.”
Pictures from Wuhan, capital of the central province of Hubei and lying at the middle reaches of the Yangtze and Han rivers, showed cars blanketed not by snow, but by ice. Riverside barriers and trees were draped in huge icicles.
The China Daily quoted an economic planning official as saying power plants in Beijing and Shanghai had only enough coal forless than seven days.
“But top economic planners said the country had reversed a sharp decline in coal reserves. There was enough coal on Saturday to generate electricity for the entire country for the next eight days,” the newspaper added.

Ladies / Gentlemen - I would like to take this opportunity
to introduce AL Gore and his CarbonFund.Org group to
a product which will improve the world economy and reduce the world’s dependency on Oil. We at GTM (Gas Transport Modules) have a product that is DOT approved, and can be used to capture Flared Gas from drill sites around the globe, for fuel distribution and consumption. We have developed a means of providing vessels which can be filled with Compressed Natural Gas, at existing well sites, where the resource is currently, literally being burned off into the atmosphere. Our GTM Module consists of 9 vessels with an
operating pressure of 3000 psi per vessel, or 27,000 psi per
module. The vessels are framed and then inserted into Cargo Containers for distribution, and can be shipped to well site
locations for fill and eventual consumption. This product will
revelutionize the fuel industry, and reduce world dependency
on Oil as a primary energy source. The Module can be delivered to urban areas, especially in third world countries where it can be used to supplement fuel resources in areas
where fuel is needed most. To learn more about GTM,

This is a crucial time for Vice-President Gore to endorse either Clinton or Obama. We’ve just seen John Edwards secure pledges from them to fight poverty; similarly, we need Al Gore to oblige these candidates to get serious about green issues and meet his personal test. As things stand now, I’m inclined to support Obama, but am worried about his talking about “clean coal,” which is virtually an oxymoron. In this time when more voters are more ecologically concerned than ever before, an Al Gore endorsement could go far in simplifying — and clarifying — the important choice before us.

HUMAN DESTINY? Page 01
In the genetic code of life-tree and the animal world lies a deep rooted, single action event that can identify the human branch from all others in the behavioral activity and doctrine from the infancy of life in our planet.
In all of nature, different species have disputed territorial boundaries and regions. We human’s by a single act can literally end all that has evolved in this planet from day one in seconds. There are millions of species covering our planet, each with its own intelligence and beauty. All descendents of the same life-form that evolved back in time and place, some many millenniums ago.
Yet we are negligently unable to search our own deep intelligence and subconscious world to begin to learn and find at least an understanding of our mantra. For millions of years we have developed and redefined ways to harm our world, ourselves and everything else that share our planet. We are unthinkably not the best suited species to prolong and protect the environment so cherished by all the species living and sharing our planet among the rest of the living world.
Page 02
Eventually it is going to cause us to destroy ourselves and the planet itself. Instead of learning like the other millions and millions of species to just live, survive and reproduce to ensure and facilitate their species continuation and future for generations to come.
It is a mandate by our own ability to think and use our so called larger intelligent brains to begin in a timely faction, to just look back at our pointly difference between us and the rest of all inhabitants of our planet. There is definitely something genetically unequivocally wrong with our species; while we lost our innocence the rest of the animal world has been able to keep theirs. If we look back at the time of earlier humans, we can trace a path that it’s been laden with natural inability to recognize a world where we have a natural responsibility to ensure its survival for millenniums to come. But most importantly we owed to the millions and millions who have died in humanly inflicted deaths that have plagued this planet for so long. There have been many geniuses, almost like God figures that have by their own genuitty and clear ability to understand the nature of our world, and in some ways we can just trace their ability so we can work in the necessary knowledge and path to find or at least understand our behavior.
Page 03
Should we be able some day to just honor the millions and millions of skeletons, shadows and sprits of those innocent people who have died unnecessarily and prematurely by means of force? We can better represent humanity in the process and the planet itself can begin a process to heal itself, scars that have ravaged our world can begin a cleansing and healing process that is rooted in the deep canyons of the world and humanity. We are owed to everything we are and believe in, to recognize and teach a peaceful doctrine so that we lift our spirits and future generations. By doing so we can save a world that is tilted toward an untimely destruction. As a world so horridly moved on sometimes it seems in light speed, and generations of humans more acutely aware of its own time and advancement so there can come to an awakening of sorts and start a new movement of peace, equality, and disarmament in the future before we find ourselves in a tunnel with no exit. By now one must think we would have found a way to think rationally all the benefits our whole system can enjoy by eliminating all arms and conflicts. Borders were meant to be none, we are the single creators and keepers of such narrow minded deeds and it started because we have the wiliness and greed to amass materials and wealth, knowingly that we only have a minute lifespan where we should just make an effort to
Page 04
better our world for the future generations so they too can enjoy similar privilege. It seems they are already in pain.

Dear Mr. Al Gore 2/8/2008
I am a white 60 year old Vietnam Veteran and am a sensible hard working patriotic man. I am sick of this good old boy mentality and this preference people have for their cronies or individuals because of their gender or name etc. We as a people are regressing into primitive backwoods people. We need to embrace competence and intelligence instead of settling for people like Hillary who arrive at the right decisions after they are forced by others to look at their past mistakes. She is experienced at making poor decisions and continues to exhibit the same tendencies. Women will put up with it for a while but men, by nature, will not. National dissatisfaction will abound. This will create a rush to conservatism. Now is not the time for her.
I support Barack Obama because it is absolutely imperative that he win the nomination. I say this not only because he is obviously the most qualified, but because this may be the last opportunity we have to restore our nation to its former glory and prosperity. Because of the baggage she is carrying (which will be exposed later) and because so many democrats and virtually all republicans pretty much despise Hillary I am afraid we may, in the event she is nominated, loose the election to the republicans. Many others feel the same. There are some democrats and other party members who will go as far as to vote for a republican candidate before voting for her. On the other hand, if she is nominated and some how becomes our next president Americans will quickly become very disappointed with her. She will barely get one term in and be replaced with a republican and that will be the end of a desperately needed opportunity for the middle class to regain some of the ground it had lost during the Bush era…… All that so she can have bragging rights. Barack is really aware of our short comings in both foreign and domestic areas and has a sense of what needs to get done and how to get there. In the past he has shown he is willing to take positions contrary to popular preference if it is in the interest of our nation. (The war for example). Many republicans and independents can see this along with his other qualities, and are impressed by him. Barack is right for the times and it will be a great misfortune for our nation and the world if we should somehow not recognize this and capitalize on it. It’s not often that such an individual comes alone, and that we are so lucky to have one that is willing to be our president during these historically difficult times. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, WOULD YOU CONSIDER ENDORSING BARACK? I and many others would love to give lots of money to see him in the Whitehouse.
P.S. I voted for you and was very disappointed when George Bush was declared the winner. ( He has turned Osama Bin Laden into our most successful adversary. )Thank you for all you have done for us.
Sincerely,
John Archibald

Hi
I hope you endose Hillary… you are in a win win …Hillary and Obama are both in your corner on this G.warming… this is what a 58 year old lad wrote me today
Women did not get the vote until after WWI when they had taken over the jobs and responsibilities in the factories while the men were fighting. It became an obvious embarrassment to the country, think it was 1920’s so my mother was actually alive when she did not have the right to vote, amazing. If you heard Hillary’s speech at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Richmond Sat. she pointed that out. Some guy on tv over the weekend said it would be much easier for a woman than a black man to get elected (therefore it was once in a lifetime chance for blacks)Prez, I vehemently disagree, I think the bias in this race will be looked at later and finally they will discuss that maybe there was a gender thing going on. The latest thing is that blacks on tv look right at hispanics on these panels and say that Hillary is getting the hispanic vote because they don’t like blacks, why can’t anyone ever speak up and say maybe people are voting for Hillary because they think she will help them and has in the past, proven record. don’t get me started again, trying to focus elsewhere for a few days, marti

I agree 100% with Michael from his Jan 24th comment. There are literally thousands of climatologist that simply disagree with Global Warming and that people are causing the climate change. Why fill the people with half truths and garbage to try to get your cause across. While I do believe in being good stewards of this earth and taking care of it, it is downright wrong to use scare tactics and half truths! Anybody can do the research on carbon dioxide and the effects that it has on temperature change. It has minimal, if any! Why are plants and trees flourishing and growing? Maybe it is because they use the CO2 from the atmosphere for growth? What is the biproduct of this? Oxygen. Quit filling me and the rest of the public with garbage so that you and those behind you can continue to grow your pocketbooks and bank accounts. There are many hardworking Americans out there that help support this country. Maybe you people should try it as well, instead of feeding of us! There are many good websites out there that give you SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE about it and it is way different story than you are giving the American Public. So what is it all about? In my opinion GREED!!

I am so tired of St Gore spouting off about global warming. Hey Al, if global warming is such a nightmare then why are we seeking a political and economical solution. Not a scientific one? What I mean is the atmosphere does not know the difference between MY SUV and one in China or South Africa. So why must I cut back while it is OK for them not to because of their growing economy? That is the most telling part of your lie, If it was real we would be seeking a global solution not just a localized one. Also when I find information like
“The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average” The word Hypocrite comes to mind. When I hear of St. Gore of Windbag taking his personal jet to give a speech on Global Whining. The word Hypocrite comes to mind again. Al you are a fake, and a fraud.
You tried to poison my kids with your forcing of schools to play your movie. Well my kids have countered your lies with the truth in their school (Gifford Middle School) They have brought in the Satellite images, The ICE report from www.epw.senate.gov. The petition of over 400 Scientists and climatologists saying you are WRONG They have shown that all your lies are based on computer models NOT, REPEAT NOT REAL WORLD DATA. You can keep fooling the Nature Nazi’s and other people too stupid to research the matter themselves, You can keep getting idiots to say things like “Well not believing in global whining is like saying the Holocaust didn’t happen” But we are done fearing your petty labels, and pathetic attempts to dismiss us as uninformed morons. We have had enough of your Environmental Socialism.

I have one more thing, I am usually not one to speak against a fellow poster in a derogatory manner However John Archibald
Commander VFW Post 9602 You Sir have touched a nerve. I find it hard to understand why a veteran would support a candidate who would bring this country down the road to Socialism/Communism?. Aside from the fact that Senator Obama has no experience, he has no plan either. Other that Universal Health care which Congress has no power to create. Not once have I heard hem define his “change” You say he can bring us back to our former glory? Have you lost your mind? How is destroying our economy, running away from terrorism, and forcing all of us into the collective of Universal Health care going to restore anything?. NEVER has tax increases ever lead to prosperity. If you had done some research you would see that lowering taxes for all and especially big corporations would provide more money to the Government than ANY tax hike. I will try to explain it simply When you reduce taxes you leave more money for people to spend at the low end and at the upper end less money taken from Corporations provides them the capital to create jobs, open new plants, and invest in new technologies. If you look at any place where there have been lots of job losses you will see they are tied to tax and regulation increases. The Democrats are real quick to blame big business for their own failures. Take Oil Companies they make 8 cents profit per gallon of gas, where as thanks to Hill Billy Clinton the Government takes in over 18 cents per gallon in taxes. Not to mention all your local taxes that can bring it up to over 60 cents a gallon. Yet it’s the oil company that is the bad guy. Hillary, Obama, Edwards they are all Communists. Everyone of them would see us lowered to a mediocre Country in the name of progress. You want to open the border and make ME pay for the care and well being of people who have invaded my country. You Democrats claim to believe in personal rights, yet you see nothing wrong with forcing people into your ideas. Makes me wonder if the VFW now takes in soldiers who fought AGAINST this country, as I have never met a patriotic soldier who would fight to destroy this country

If any of you fools actually think that electing one party over the other is going to have an effect either way on global warming you have gone beyond naive. Sure, Professor Al made a real interesting (BS) movie about the global warming ‘crisis’ but he does nothing more than state the obvious. Not exactly sure how much of the U.S. was covered by glaciers 50,000 years ago, but the fact that they were, and now are not leads even the simplest person to surmise that global warming has been going on since way before Professor Al enlightened us. More over, to think that there is any way as humans we can stop global warming is nearly as outrageous as believing in which ever politician is out there feeding that line to the public, which is almost as outrageous as the politician who tells the public, if elected, they will create jobs, but I’m getting off the point….
We should all find ways to conserve energy, and fight pollution, no doubt, but wasting our time trying to stop what the earth has been doing naturally is a waste of time. I would suggest Professor Al go back to counting votes.
Oh, and by the way, please read the article at the attached link, which discusses how this winter is actually the coldest in a century, and the ice flow that was melting at an ‘alarming rate’ is actually 10-20 cm thicker than it was last year, talk about an inconvenient truth! I’m sure Professor Al is unavailable for comment.

Our business will be closed, and we will post a sign(or something similar) on our doors and web-site stating the importance of this day’s recognition. We will be out with our State’s Wildlife/Conservation Society cleaning up our coastal lines.
So many Americans are not aware of this day and it’s importance. Is the Gore Foundation doing anything to increase more awareness of Earth Day? How about lobbying for a
National holiday, or maybe change Earth Day to the third
Saturday in April. A majority of businesses and schools would
be closed allowing more individuals to go out and get involved.
Metropolises, large corporations, and Governments are finally
realizing the impacts and changes we must make to save our planet. Celebrating Earth Day can be a great approach to educate, reflect, and become active. In today’s world, this day

Here is the rub, climate always changes, and Mr. Gore has used the IPCC to win two major awards. One independent group found 35 serious errors in Gore’s movie. Here is another problem, 5 billion dollars in funding pays for lot of global warming theory, about a million per scientist. Also, the basis premise that CO2 causes warming is not fact, it may be warm causes CO2. Oh yeah, and global cooling aka ice age is much more of a problem for man, than global warming. i will like for all of us with the help of Vice-president Al Gore to create a law where the oil companies around the world will have some days per month to shut down, we need our planet to be saved, yesterday a big part of ice from our poles broke. Think of the poor animals that depend on that. God it makes me cry, and to think that those people of the oil companies just want money, no matter what. How did the people in the 1500’s or before survived without gasoline???
Or we should try to regulate the amount of cars made each year, it’s crazy how many cars are in our streets and around the world, i think there are more cars than people. All cars companies should know that they are helping to destroy our planet. Lets plant more trees and stop the construction of un-necesary buildings, stop using wood for construction, we don’t have any more trees and we are getting them from other countries.
