but the bigger question is … when is Al getting his own video and/or his own dancing divas?
some amazing news coming out of New Hampshire recently in a poll released this week.
Guess what the poll revealed?
It revealed Hilary Clinton was leading …
but….
if Al announced he was running, and I’ll quote…
Twenty-nine percent of Clinton voters would switch to Gore (…), and when all of the switches from other Democratic candidates were recalculated, Gore would defeat Clinton
some truly truly amazing news to come out. Let’s all hope Al gets word of this. It could put him over the edge!
Wondering why Steve Jobs’ hasn’t backed a presidential candidate yet? Well, according to the Time article on Gore, he’s trying to convince him to join the race..
“We have dug ourselves into a 20-ft. hole, and we need somebody who knows how to build a ladder. Al’s the guy,” says Steve Jobs of Apple. “Like many others, I have tried my best to convince him. So far, no luck.”
…keep trying Steve! He’ll come around!
A lot of folks are pondering several “what-if” scenarios for the 2008 election. One of the discussions is over Al, and if he did run, who’d his running mate might be. How interesting it would be if he teamed up with Hillary, and notch a reverse 1996 ticket, ie. Gore/Clinton. Other than Hillary, though, who do you think would be a nice compliment as VP with Gore?
The AP is reporting that Gore’s top policy adviser from his 2000 presidential campaign - and other key supporters - met today in Boston to mull a potential Gore 2008 run. Those involved, though, along with the Gore’s Nashville office, stated that Al is in no way involved.
(Let’s hope he is)
Get this :: An internet petition urging Al Gore to run for President in 2008 has crossed the 25,000 signature mark. Now averaging over 500 a day, Gore is leading the nearest contenders by a factor of more than 5 to 1.
A sampling of comments include:
“Al, PLEASE run for President. We desperately need better leadership on environmental issues.”
“My wife and I are republicans and voted for Bush twice. Our next vote will be for Gore if he runs. We need to quit being the policemen for the world and solve the energy crisis in order to continue the freedom that we have long enjoyed.”
