Gore Partners with Venture Capital Firm
Al continues to strengthen his ties to Silicon Valley these days, announcing Monday he had joined the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as a Partner.
Per the New York Times article :
The alliance provides Mr. Gore an additional pulpit for his advocacy of environmental causes, but also gives the Nobel laureate an opportunity to nurture green businesses.
It appears his part-time duties will revolve around analyzing growth potential for alternative energy business sector.
In addition, Al noted he’ll be donating his entire salary to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit policy foundation.
An amazing opportunity, though, to merge the wealth of his knowledge with emerging business and technology.
Best of luck in this endeavor Al.. it’ll be great to see your impact on this in the coming years.

It would be great to see some of the Al Gore heat transfer over to the biodiversity crusade. I see the IUCN is attempting to replicate the objective, science reporting structure around biodiversity that was key to winning hearts and minds on climate change. Access the story about this weekend’s biodiversity summit in France through this short post on my frog blog: http://frogmatters.wordpress.com/2007/11/16/global-warming-squeezing-out-biodiversity-debate/

I have been fighting against polution for more than 45 years, I have lived in the Pacific Northwest most of my life and I have watched the most beautiful area in America turn into a copy of Los Angeles. 47 years ago I drove taxi cab in Seattle (before I-5) became the 2nd fastest polution maker up here. When 9-11 happened, we had 3 of the clearest days we’d had in YEARS, I could see Mount rainier from top to bottom, & look across the Sound & see the Olympics as clear as I could 60 years ago. I have en’t much more time on earth but I’ll do NO more anti-pollution until you start doing something against the biggest pollutor there is! The Giant Jet Airplanes, Global warming didn’t get going good until all these damned airplanes took took to the sky. Leave the airlines alone and say good bye to life on Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS In my own stupid opinion, Bill Clinton was the BEST Pres. since Pres. Roosevelt, and I know Al Gore would be right up there with Bill. If Al do’es not run, either Clinton or Obama will be a thousand time s better than this son-of-a-bitch in thier nowor his damned father Bush or Reagan, whoever! I only voted once for a non-Democrat and that was for Goldwater, I am still proud of that vote, and never respectedx ANY of the presidents whoare republican!!!!!

Maybe Al Gore can tell us why he left out the most significant source of Greenhouse gases from his movie. The source is identified by the UN:
http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=20772&Cr=global&Cr1=environment
Maybe, if Al Gore and his elite Hollywood friends are as concerned about the planet as they claim, they can reduce there use of private jets and Al Can use a little less electricity in his three houses!
Sadly it seems Al Gore real message is “Do as I say, not as I do!”

I’d like to address the leadership vacuum that currently exists in the US. We need inspirational leaders. Leaders who will speak to the heart in such an eloquent and compelling manner that we can not help but pause and take notice. This leader will shake us up from our stupor created by our affluence and force us to feel like the rest of the world is feeling. We are too distracted by our iPods and Blackberries and continue to drive SUVs and Hummers like gasoline was 50 cents a gallon and CO2 was 50 ppm in the air. We need a leader who will inspire us to do the right things and do things right. AL Gore is the closest one I can think of who will fit that roll. The last one was JF Kennedy who inspired us to go to the Moon and to join the Peace Corp and who said ‘ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. There is plenty we can do for our country and the whole wide world today!! Let’s wake up and do it!!!

we have a new product that you would be interested in? We didn’t want to leave your company out of the opportunity.
Can you call Linda Cooper at 801-491-6376, she is representing Vonics Incorporated on this matter.
You can check our web site at the address bar, not Google, www.vonicsincorporated.com.
We are putting this product on 12 vehicles in the next 30 days.
We will have the final test results then. We estimate 70 m.p.g. on a V-8 5.7 or 350 c.i. engine and zero emissions, this is with regular gas. It will also burn any hydro-carbon fuel.
Thank you for your time and considerations,
Avear Glen Leavitt

Dear,
Mr. Gore we are students from High Tech High Media Arts in Point Loma. My fellow team members and I are doing a documentary on how global warming is real and effecting the earth. We have seen the movie “The Inconvenient Truth” and it really opened our eyes to what was really going on in the world. So we were hoping if it was possible to have a quick interview with you in your personal thoughts on global warming it would highly be appreciated thank you good bye.

I have recently come across information on the French engineered aircar. I have to wonder is Mr. Gore is aware of these vehicles. Why are we not mass producing them here in the U.S? I would be willing to work towards the building of factories across the country. It would be nice to be able to contact Mr. Gore and work with him towards the licensing and building of these factories. It is said that the emissions from these vehicles is cleaner than the air that goes into them. Does anyone know where I might find contact information for Mr. Gore? It costs approxiamately 10,000,000$ to build one of these. I will need some help in pursuing this. Thank you for any information you might give me.

I wonder why no one has commented on the simple fact that there is a rocket going up into space once a week it seems. All that pollution and the force itself from the rocket has definitely had an impact on the axis of the earth and global warming. All that thrust pushing against the earth…think about it and the fumes from the rocket. The fumes from planes are just as bad. Why hasn’t anyone talked about that?

Unfortunately, India, has taken this into consideration and owns their own plant. If they intend to sell any American’s these vehicles they will have to accept our US Dollars again as they have in several of their cities told American’s, ‘No US Dollars Accepted’. India is really blowing it financially. I think they are trying to influence China whom have more Gold that America. If Chinese would shop in India and I think now they do, those that have Credit Cards in China do fly back and forth to india often.
Aircar does not go about investment as we might think, the body part is all that is the issue while investing in the engine requires them handling the sales to you and you installing so you must buy bulk engines. Some of them are small gasoline engines with controllers for rechargeable electric motor backups. Engines is also not the only matter as Air Generators are also their expertise and those as well require mass purchase if you want a business these factors play on the issue of VAT Taxation and Import/Export Taxation at their ports as well as our ports, so if you cannot afford to build your own port your paying to much overhead for all that is required for a business, one main thing though Sales Opportunities are a investment opportunity as well so you buy several hundred such vehicles and have a Sales Office then your listed on their website as a legal Sales Office, New York City has a Sales office in the United States.

was wondering….does he actually contact you all back? or have you not heard anything from him? Was also wondering if anyone can help me…heard from a radio talk host that Al Gore’s company, Carbon Footprint, hasn’t planted any trees. I am writing a paper for my 10th grade class and would love some answers.

I feel Al Gore has betrayed his country by not running for president again. He is the only electable democratic candidate and universally the only worthwhile human for the office! Neither Hillary or Obama are electable or will do anything worthwhile for the envirornment, so by his not running he is basically allowing another term of Bush with McCain. But, saying that I will vote for McCain (as will everyone else I know) rather than Obama. McCain at least is a true American, Obama is a racist and anyone who can’t put their hand over their heart and say the pledge of allegiance in my opinion does not deserve to be in the White House. Harriet was right. So Al, get off your ass and go to the convention and get drafted it is not too late! If you sit back you are the reason our country will go down the tubes. We are already in terrIble trouble and you and only you could start to get our country back. There is no place better than as President to do what you want to help the world and the environment. I am baffled and so disappointed by your lack of involvement.
