Myanmar Cyclone a Cause of Global Warming?

There have been speculations whether global warming directly effects weather patterns, and honorable Al Gore stepped out today to announce his feelings regarding the matter.

In his opinion, Myanmar is a direct result. And the deaths attributed are a result of global warming.

A true point to sit back on reflect on. A point which might make a few folks sit back and re-consider their footprint on the planet.

True or not, we hope everybody makes effort to lower their footprint on the earth. Let’s all make our home everybody’s home : )

You have got to be joking. Look at the facts people. Take a little time and look at the science. Al Gore refuses to debate the sciences of it, because there is none. People are told to believe these things, because it makes them feel good. NASA and NOAH have reevaluated how and where they were measuring the temperature. It is a indisputable fact that the earth has not risen in temperature since 1998. The IPPC uses all their data before 1998 and they do not use facts like sun cycles and what not. Of course the Earth is going to warm, from about 1600, to 1850, the earth went through what they called a mini Ice Age. In the next hundred years or so, the earth’s temperature will drop dramatically. You never here about this because they do not want you to here it. Al Gore says he is trying to help, but he still drives trucks and has one of the highest electrical bill in the nation. So people think! Go and look at the facts.

Carbon Head. You know you are a Carbon Head.

Even if it were true. It was not caused by human events. The relationship between carbon dioxide and global warming has always been inverse. That is there is more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because it is warmer, it is not warmer because there is more carbon dioxide.

Carbon Head. You know you are a Carbon Head.

    Dear Mr. Al Gore,
Your interest in the earth shows your great respect for it. I would like to be a part of your kind with my contribution for the same. I have a large collection of poems and the same theme of saving our earth. I would appreciate if you would take out some time and read a few and give your comments and guidance for me to proceed for a good cause. With your permission I would be glad to send you some .

    Thanking You,

    Dear Al Gore,

Your help is desperately needed to stop or require environmentally sustainable development in the Alberta Tarsands, the single most polluting project on the planet, and an all-around environmental holocaust.
May I suggest you read “The Shock Doctrine…the Rise of Disaster Capitalism” by Naomi Klein. The tarsands is definitely “Disaster Capitalism!” A vastly valuable publicly owned resource is being transferred into private hands. A precious forest the size of Florida will be clear-cut and filled with toxic lakes, devastating wildlife and poisoning rivers and streams, all so that the oil can be pumped to the U.S. for the greed and profit of the Fat Cat oil companies.
    Please reply.

Yesterday I heard the president of the Czech Republic talk about Al Gore’s book. I was happy to hear someone get down to the basics. Al Gore has made millions of dollars on global warming. He lost the presidency in the US and decided to take us all for everything he could. I voted for him but it makes me mad that he flies around in his private jet having cocktails and polluting the earth while the rest of us are trying to save it. Why doesn’t he give some of his money that his family has made from the chem dumping in his own state. I know this man will never read this but I will place these remarks anywhere I can to say that some of us think he is a louse. Thank God not everyone in this world thinks he is a good guy.

I think you meant to say that the Myanmar Cyclone may be a RESULT of Global Warming, not a Cause. I don’t think anyone would consider Global Warming to be caused by cyclones, hurricanes, Typhoons or any other kind of ocean-born storms.

    Mr Gore:

I just found out you are responsible for the banning of the A/C unit in my apartment, which now has to be replaced for no solid scientific reason in two years. I know you’re making millions and you’re so gung-ho about all of this, so would you mind forking out the 8 thousand dollars to replace it with the more hazardous, less-efficient substitute?

    Sincerely,

While I believe humans are adding to environmental imbalances, I am finding it hard to believe Al Gore’s motives when I read that his household uses as much energy in a month as an average household uses in a year. Where is his personal committment to helping the environment?

    TRACK GLOBAL WARMING

    Hello.

I think someone should create a map overlay for the ever-day person to trade and view global warming. Some of us have seen the movies by Al Gore but some people may want to be for proactive in monitoring what is going on instead of just waiting for new reports issued by the New York Times or other publications. I haven’t seen much of Al Gore since he won the peace award. I guess that’s all he was in it for, huh, something he could put on a shelf?

    What I would include in the map;
    a) A complete overlay in real-time of the ice and its current position
    b) A historical picture of the ice in previous months or years, similar to the WayBack Machine on Alexa.
    c) The current temperatures and historical temperatures for a specific region.
    d) Current species of animals, e.g. the Polar Bears and other animals affected by global warming, and their respective territories
    e) Territories or areas populated by humans

I’d be willing to contribute to a fund to see something like this that can be tracked daily and can also provide other news and information to Internet users.

    To: The Honorable Al Gore

In a way it is a blessing that you did not become President, because as the President, you would not have been able to devote the time that you have in order to sound the alarm on global warming.

I also applaud your cooperation with Sir Richard Bransoin relating to the VirginEarth Challenge.

I have been trying (without success) to contact you and Sir Richard, but to date, I have no evidence that any of these attempts were successful.

I have proposed methods for generating emission free power from renewable sources and in vast quantities.

One of the ideas has actually gone to an RFP with a company called NineSigma.

I have even e-mailed the Secret Service and asked them to forward an e-mail to you, but I don’t know if this was done.

I firmly believe that my proposal (called Midnight Sun) for 24/7 solar power electricity generation could be online by this time next year, with proper funding.

I have considered submitting it to the VirginEarth challenge, as heaven knows I could use the money, as the challenge does not close until 2010, I feel that if the concept proves to be valid, then waiting two to three more years for a functioning prototype to go online would not be in the environmental best interests of the planet.

As the father of twins, I want them to grow up on a planet when the air is clean and the future is bright. A place where global warming is an increasingly dim memory of how we did things before Al Gore and people like him sounded the global alarm.

I am not sure if this will reach you, but if it does, I know that you are a man of action. I also believe that Sir Richard may consider funding the solar project himself, as it has the potential to have his air travel businesses labled as carbon neutral due to the emission offset caused by the solar powered electricity generation.

I would also ask that you pass on the geothermal (submarine vent) proposal to people with the technical ability and the financial resources to bring the technology online.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Ron R.

    Mr GORE,
I have just viewed your admirable treating film of global warming and leave there upset. As you said, Africa contributes for a very weak share (less than 3% I believe) to the CO2 emissions but it undergoes the effects of them dramatically. Although the priorities are, for Africa and African, the fight against chronic poverty or pandemias of the AIDS or Paludism, I think that without the contribution of Africa with the fight against global warming, there won’t be no priority at all ; there will be a primary fight for survival. It is necessary thus that all the good wills of the world (rich and poor) appear and start this combat with constancy and determination. I hope to receive an echo with this short note and to be able one day to take part in the fight at the sides of all the men and all the women of good will. Thank you for your engagement and may God assist us

If you read this and are not just spewing re: the NASA results about gloabl warmiing? Today’s announcement by NASA (CNN site) that ice is disapperaing at a shocking rate (as of 2007) should get your attention since you are so keen on facts. Who do you work for? Exxon Mobil? Alberta Tar Sands Project? What Al Gore has said is nothing new. These facts are there for all to read including you. If you can make a factual case for your disagreement try citing the source so we can make up our own mind. Have a nice day –there are damn few of them left!

This morning I heard a recording of you, Al Gore, advising 12 year old children to ignore their parents comments on “Global Warming” because their parents just didn’t “get it”. You added that this was similar to your experience as a child when you wondered why blacks were being beaten and parents just didn’t “get it”. Can you supply a complete list of topics on which children should ignore the comments of their parents and listen exclusively to your view?

    Honorable
    Environmental activist
    Al Gore

A request to be the guest of honor about our seminar “global warming” in Dhaka, Bangladesh at hotel Sonargaon Winter Garden organized by World Human Rights and Development dated on honorable May 1st 2009.
    His Excellency,
Imagine waking up one morning and being able to look out your window. Now you can either wake up or acknowledge the fact that something is wrong or you can go back to sleep. Well the problem is our environment. Our ozone layer is being destroyed daily due to harmful things in the air, or our population. Air pollution’s one of the many leading causes of asthma.
Common dreams news agrees and quotes that, “the problem is that the children are getting affected and the environment is getting worse day by day.”
I hope you understand now how much clean air act means to our environment and it would be better to bring it back. Our biggest problems are the pollution in the air which is mostly created by our power plants. The “EPA”s new rule will further extra exacerbate problems by allowing this these thousands of industrial facilities across the nation to actually increase emissions. In other words that’s a lot of pollution. Environmental experts predicted that poor and minority children are likely to develop asthma at worsening rates due to air pollution. But industrial wastes and power plants aren’t the only ways pollution settles into our air. There’s also the problem of car exhaust and over using electricity. Both of these problems cause pollution and some of their alternative solutions would be to carpool and really try to conserve energy. What I mean by that is just instead of wasting energy, example- leaving unnecessary lights on; leave the ones that you really need on. I believe if we try hard enough, we can still save the environment. I hope that after listening to this, you all will feel the same way about our environment as I do.
The executive committee of World Human Rights and Development is going to host a seminar about global warming and its remedia. On may 1st 2009 at 5:00 pm-9:000 pm followed by dinner. We would like to invite you as our chief guest. A good number of human rights activists, environmental engineers, foreign diplomats, Bangladeshi politician, ministers, businessmen, lawyers, and social workers will attend our event.
We would like to invite our honorable US ambassador in Dhaka, Bangladesh to be our special guest. Your May 1st 2009 present will encourage us about the knowledge of our environment, human rights, pollution and democratic practice around the world. You will educate us accordingly.
In this humanistic program we urge your kind participation to be the guest of honor
Your sincere cooperation and support means a lot for us
    Best Regards

Global warming is it a fact I hope so. I hate cold weather. The sooner it warms up the better I will like it. So to help things along I bought a bunch of tires to burn, and I drive a suv that gets 14 miles to the gallon of gas. Its running now. My wife will be buying a suburban. If this helps it to warm up I feel I have done my part. And by the way PETA I love beef.

    Dear Mr. Al Gore,

Greetings! We are trying our best to keep the tire burning plant from planting itself on our soil. Our soil and water have already suffered from other kinds of industrial pollutions.

I am currently organizing a consortium of students and citizens to come to the planned site in opposition to the plant building before it is too late. We need your help to reach both national and international realms to inform the people(s) that the stream of polluting air from this location will affect globally.

I need your suggestions on how we may best do so.

    Sincerely,
    Keiko

Al Gore is still a capitalist and as Vice President with Clinton still passed lots of bills that contradict his ‘Green’ statements. Look at what the man has really done bills-wise and you will no longer see him as a hero but a face of deception. His cheesy documentary barely scrapes the surface of the reality of our decisions in consumption, capitalism, and a free market economy. Go read a book.

You and Richard Branson are among the world’s biggest fraudsters. Eventually you will be exposed and may God help you then.

0.1% that is nothing. Your own energy consuption is nothing to be proud of. It is your greed for money thay shouls be curtailed. Buy some ocean front property in Florida, you’ll be safe. say hello to David Suzuki, your wacko Canadian friend.

But, here’s my concern Honorable Al Gore: Thirty years ago there was a huge concern of global cooling. Today, its warming.
If the earth is billions of years old, as you say, how can you think you are going to control the temperature over a thirty-year span?
I think my respect for you is cooling.
