The Great Global Warming Swindle?
A new global warming documentary (screened on Channel 4 in the UK) has popped up challenging a lot of the points Gore makes in his Oscar winning documentary - mainly the claim that CO2 is responsible for rising temperatures. The main scientists in the piece to agree that temperatures are rising, but that the trend is a natural occurrence, and not attributable to greenhouse gases.
An interesting watch though. To expose yourself to ‘both sides of the coin’ (so to speak), I’d recommend watching.
What do you think? Have you seen this new documentary?

The Independent just one of the many mouth pieces of the Environmentalist Movement. There just following a well trodden green path, if you can’t attack the science attack the scientists.
They’re in on the sham.

To be honest, I thought the film was fantastic. I loved the way it was intellectually thrilling and Gore cracked ironic jokes at random intervals. Al Gore is a Genius, he WILL be the next US president if he runs. What a legend.

Al Gore is wonderful, he spoke his truth.
I think the film was just reaffirming our thoughts about the world, it is time someone spoke up in this society of silence.
Some however will disagree and fight the concept that we caused this life for ourselves. But people were too ignorant or selfish to listen and now we only have ourselves to blame.
It was so inspirational, it makes me want to help as much as i can!
Its not too late to save ourselves…

I have just taken two Ecology classes at my high school and we watched Al Gore’s movie and while watching the movie I was just in a trance. I personaly rented it and watched it tonight and I hope he runs because when the next election comes around I will be able to vote, and if he runs my vote will go to him. No question. His movie moved me, even more so from my already enviromentalist standpoint, to a new level of wanting to do something about this gobal issue.

I think its odd that Al Gore’s film contained 45 minutes of shots of Al sitting in front of his computer looking concerned. A bit self-aggrandizing eh? Also, in order for a film like this to have the intended effect, its important not to politicize it and also to not exaggerate the crisis. Al failed at that and his movie is readily stigmatized for reasons that should have been more than apparent to Al before he made the film. Seriously, I thought I had just paid to see an hour and a half political ad. How tacky and what a thing to do to an issue like this! Shame on you!

I’m a 69 year old young wife, mother, and grandmother. In the late 1940’s as a little girl I remember that there were many stars in the sky and they seemed so close. I would lay on my back in the summer and watch them twinkle. You don’t see that anymore. Lighting bugs were everywhere, now I see just a few. In the winter I would scoop up snow, and mom would make us snow cream. Today they till us not to do that because of what may be in our atmoshere . My mother lived to be 91, she stated more then once that there was something going on with the weather. Raised in Ky, she said they always had lots of snow by every Thankgiving .”You could count on it” she said. Now the seasons are not so seperated as they once were. Enviromental changes, global warming, I believe so. How can we fitx it, I don’t know . I just remember the way it was!

Most of the comments left on this particular topic have 0 to do with the topic. They are referancing the docuganda film “An Inconvient Truth” and praising the name of their “Messiah” Al Gore, Who as the record shows is nothing more than a hypocritical liar like most of the rest of the politicians. Please just post comments about the subject ‘The Great Global Warming Swindle’ This Film is excellent and points out the origin of the whole Global Warming Scare which was to push the agenda of yet another politician Margaret Thatcher. She used the concept of man made global warming to push her nuclear power plant agenda. As well as creating the one sided scientific body know as ICPP (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) I say one sided because its charter when created was, to find the link between CO2 and global warming, not, to find out what is causing global warming. Now any scientific body give 20+ years to research and as narrow a charter as the ICCP has had they could link andthing to anything else. They could have linked twinkies to global warming if they’d wanted.

like a religious document, scientific research can often be parsed to support any position. I like Patricias empirical method: She noted the weather as a child, and has been sampling it daily for 69 years, her test results - it’s changed.
To ignore what our eyes and ears and noses tell us in favor of a view which supports a more convenient political or economic view, is only foolish. The specific and exact cause of global warming will never be identified, because it is a chorus of problems, a veritable Gordian knot of interrelated environmental and behavioral variables. But we can be pragmatic, spot the obvious things and start there. This, along with many other of todays problems, has nothing to do with Democrat or Republican, we all must breathe. Go get’em Al, drag them kicking and screaming out of their own burning house.

Hello there Gore,
We just wanted to let you know that my husband I and are standing by your side all the way!!
Do not let the Republicans get to you!!! You are better than that!
People are ignorant and stupid and sometimes refuse to face the truth becuase of fear. Republicans are just trying to cover it up to get more money out of us and if people are stupid enough to follow that path after all the deaths because of this war! then what can we do. Seriously if after all of this distruction people still listen to them…then what can we expect? What can we do?
You are a wonderful human being and continue on your mission to help us. Thank you so much for making that movie it really does open your eyes!
Our Blessings to you!

Algore is a freekin genius! I thought his political career was dead but man did I under-estimate the stupidity of the left which is really hard for me to do. He’s been sitting in his mansion (that produces more green house gasses in a day than the Mount St. Helens eruption by the way) all this time dreaming up a way to get his butt back in the game. He couldn’t have picked a better cause to jump on than Global Warming. He had to know that the Hollywierd hypocrites (who are all feeling so guilty about the effect that their multiple mansions, private jets, limos, etc. are having on the environment) would jump on board and trumpet this bs. Liberals will lap up anything that fits with their reality. With them, reality molds the facts, vs facts molding reality. They don’t even see that this topic is about the film that refutes all of his bs. They’d be hilarious if they weren’t so scary.

I got an e-mail accusing Al Gore of deviously tricking the public with his film so that he and others can make a lot of money through companies and schemes responding to the global warming scare. Does anyone know where I can find an answer to these charges? The charges are as follows:
First, Gore sets up a company that will invest in other companies that will benefit from global warming alarmism
Second, Gore gets some Hollywood types to fund and produce a movie designed to scare the c-c-carbon out of the population
Third, Gore travels the world promoting this movie, while pushing the view that a cataclysm is imminent if the world doesn’t immediately act
Fourth, an adoring media falls for the con hook, line, and sinker. Rather than debunking the flaws in the theories, the media promote every word of it while advancing the concept that Gore’s views represent those of an overwhelming majority of scientists
Fifth, scared governments and citizens across the globe invest in alternative energy programs driving up the shares of companies Gore’s group has already invested in
Sixth, Gore and his cronies make billions as they laugh all the way to the bank at the stupidity of their fellow citizens
Below is a list of those who stand to make money along with Al Gore:
AFLAC INC - AQUANTIVE INC - AUTODESK INC - BECTON DICKINSON & CO BLACKBAUD INC - GENERAL ELECTRIC CO - GREENHILL & CO INC - JOHNSON CTLS INC - LABORATORY CORP AMER HLDGS - METABOLIX INC - NORTHERN TR CORP - NUVEEN INVTS INC -STAPLES INC - SYSCO CORP - TECHNE CORP - UBS AG - VCA ANTECH INC - WATERS CORP - WHOLE FOODS MKT INC
According to their own documents, GIM intends to invest in, or buy companies poised to cash in on Global Warming concerns.
End of copied e-mail.

I watched “The Great Global Warming Swindle” last night and am, to say the least, perplexed. I need either a fact based refutation or an admission that some of its points are valid.
Al Gore needs to take this film into account before he runs for president. If not, he will be defeated by the film alone.
