Making changes to a society ain’t so easy. Making changes to the way people perform their lives might be even tougher. Al Gore & Global Warming are two things that aren’t going away in the short term. One is here to educate, and the other is here to potentially wreak havoc. I’m very very encouraged by the current green movement, and love the fact that several small steps are being implemented to reduce our need on foreign oil and excessive energy consumption.
How have you viewed this current trend? Have you made any changes to your daily habit?

Yahoo’s got a cool promotion going on, allowing users to accumulate points for “going-green” in certain aspects of their life. The city that collects the most points will win a fleet of hybrid taxis donated from Yahoo.
Very cool promotion, go sign up here!

Al is slated to open this year’s festival. Looks like there will be 7 short films highlighting the ever-growing hot-topic of global warming at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The films are part of a program organized by SaveOurSelves (SOS), a campaign to generate a mass movement to combat global warming.
The gala hosted by Gore will be staged at the BMCC TriPAC center in Manhattan and will include musical performances by acts taking part in the Live Earth series of concerts being held worldwide to increase knowledge of and concern for the climate crisis.
Is anyone planning on attending?
A lot of folks are pondering several “what-if” scenarios for the 2008 election. One of the discussions is over Al, and if he did run, who’d his running mate might be. How interesting it would be if he teamed up with Hillary, and notch a reverse 1996 ticket, ie. Gore/Clinton. Other than Hillary, though, who do you think would be a nice compliment as VP with Gore?
That’s how many signatures Al collected before his hearing in front of Congress. Pretty amazing. Did you get a chance to sign it? If not, join in! It’s not too late. The link is below:
